Celebration
Tammy Connelly -
The HIGHLIGHT for me was having my Dad finally come to church
with me and my family and experiencing the love of God the way
that we do. The last time Dad stepped into a church was 35 years
ago. It wasn't a pleasant experience. As a little girl, I grew
up with negative comments about people in the church and Dad's
dislike of pastors. This inflicted a deep wound in my heart,
knowing I should have God in my life but being so fearful of
past memories, I kept a huge wall between me and Jesus. I didn't
want him in my life. I was brought to tears when Dad told me
Saturday night that his "journey is at it's end" and then Cindi
shared Sunday morning, "the journey is just beginning". I had a
hard time trying to hold myself together when Dad raised his
hands to the Lord and prayed!
I have so much gratitude to Pastor Northrup. He touched Dad in a
way I've never seen before. Not to mention Dad started reading
his book that night and wouldn't put it down. He even told me,
he "related to Pastor Northrup"!
I want to say Thank You, to all my TCCC family, for welcoming
Dad the way you all did. Nobody, including Jim, really knows
deep down how much this means to me. Sunday, April 19, 2009 was
a HUGE HEALING DAY for me and my Dad! Thank You!
Marie Layman -
"Tri-County Christian Center celebrated a diamond anniversary by
honoring all co-laborer pastors of the past, present and future.
Norman and Burl Northrup made a personal appearance which
knitted the bonds of brotherhood, servanthood and kingdom
dwellers more securely. We are the forever family of God;
friends forever and co-laborers of Christ whether one sows,
waters or harvests. Having the Northrups celebrate with us, only
confirmed that we advance the kingdom of God by steady plodding
and each one of us has a valuable part. It was a reminder to
prefer one another above ourselves with all love and humility."

- April 8, 2009 - Kalub
Crape (2 1/2yrs old), began to have "spells" recently as he
had about a year ago. He would basically stop breathing, go limp
for a little bit and then begin to breathe. These looked like
seizure, but the doctors were all stumped last year and this
time was no different. One episode about a year ago was called a
"gran mal seizure" that lasted for 3 hours and caused him to
have a dangerously high fever. At that time his left brain
swelled and he was paralyzed on the right side for a time. The
doctors were sure he would have scarring on his brain from that
time.
On Sunday (4/5) he had about 15 or more "spells" and the doctors
could not figure it out - (NOTE - last year while Kalub was in
the hospital he did not have a typical "spell" so the doctors
could not see what was happening - he was there for 3 days, but
when they left the hospital he had a major spell in the car!
They went back to the hospital, but nothing more happened. It
was very discouraging for the family and the doctors).
On Mon (4/6) at the hospital they hooked Kalub up to an EKG
machine - very difficult for him - so they could monitor him
should he have a spell. After he had settled down we gathered
around and prayed that God would reveal the problem and if that
meant having another spell then "let it be a good one while
protecting his life and health". Ten minutes later - he had a
"good one" - it got recorded and then 15 minutes later he had
another one! The doctors came in and said "We know what this is
- he is having seizures coming from his left brain" - Something
that some children eventually grow out of!
Thank you Jesus - He has shown His love for Kalub, Tabitha, Rod
and Connie, etc!
I went to visit the Crape's at the hospital the next day (4/7).
Kalub was reacting well to his anti-seizure medicine - no
seizures since taking the meds!
Tomorrow would be an MRI to see how much scar tissue was on the
brain. A lot of scarring would mean that Kalub would never grow
out of the seizures. So, once again we gathered around Kalub and
we prayed for him to be free from these seizures and that his
brain would be clear.
The next day (4/8) Rod calls and says that the MRI came back
showing no scarring on his brain! There should have been
something - according to the doctors - but there was nothing!
Thank You Lord! - Again!

- My wife and I had been scrimping and saving for quite some
time for a trip we wanted to take. We finally saved enough money
to go but were delayed by health concerns and having to visit
the doctor. Just recently the Lord spoke to me and said to give
a portion of this savings to people who needed it. I explained
to the Lord that we had been saving for some time and still
wanted to take the trip when our health was better. He told me
again to give it and even told me the amount to give. He also
told me not to try to get any glory from giving it. I contacted
Gloria, our church secretary and told her that I wanted to give
the money to needy families and that I didn't want anyone to
know who gave it. She told me that she knew several needy
families and I told her to give it as she saw fit. She said she
wanted to pray about it and would get back to me. When I talked
to her again I told her that God had already given back the
amount of money that I was going to give. Money that I did not
expect to get and hadn't even given yet. I gave her the money
and asked if she would give it so I could stay anonymous. The
next day I received another amount of money that I did not
expect to receive. It was 1 and 1/2 times the amount I gave. The
next day I received 1 and 1/2 times that amount again. That made
4 times what I gave. I took the sum that I received on the third
day and gave it to Gloria and told her to bless some more needy
people. I don't know what else God will do, I don't expect
anything, but I do know for sure that you cannot out give God.
He is so good to me. Praise His name!!!!

- Dec. 2008 - Tammy
Woodard - I want to give you my testimony about God's
provision. It's starting to become comical! God takes such
good care of me.
So, the beginning of December my income is cut by $200+ a
month. But God assured me that he would take care of me.
At the end of November I took a trip to the Tri- Cities for a
work conference. I was supposed to get reimbursed for my fuel
(I drove my own car). The rest of the trip (food, lodging) was
paid fro. when I returned from the trip, I submitted my $21
receipt for fuel reimbursement.
I was at a meeting and received my reimbursement check (this was
the day after I was notified about my income reduction). I
questioned the amount of the check because it was substantially
more than $21. It was double checked and I was told it was
mileage reimbursement not fuel. My reimbursement check for my
$21 fuel bill was $167.00!!
Then, a couple of weeks ago, I go to pick up my mail and I have
a reimbursement check in the mail. It was $15 from some over
paid co-pay to a doctor I saw over a year ago! What doctor
reimburses money?!
Finally, last week I paid a couple of guys $50 to clear my
roof. I was thankful to God that he had provided me with the
funds to be able to pay them. Two days ago I found out that the
trailer park will cover the cost of snow removal because I
rent. So I am be reimbursed my $50!
This is starting to become great Fun!
